Ganesh (Sarath Kumar) is an auto driver and a kindhearted man, who goes out of his way to earn money to help the poor and the needy.

Ganesh likes to be in limelight. Knowing well that the media would sensationalize anything that is to do with popular people in the city, he kidnaps a businessman, and in another instance he implicates and submits himself to the police for a murder of an MLA that he does not commit. While he draws maximum publicity in the media, he creates a miserable life for the police. By his repeated pranks, Ganesh establishes himself as a person crazy only for publicity.People begin to call him 'Publicity' Ganesh.

Devanayaki (Namitha) owns a restaurant, and several autos run in her name in the local area. She is head over heels in love with Ganesh. She goes about wooing him. In most of her screen time she is singing and dancing with Ganesh.

Meanwhile, Anjali (Laya) approaches Ganesh to act in her ad films in return for handsome money. But actually she is an undercover agent to investigate Ganesh's past.

Ganesh has a sorrow past. His past life and the reason for his current deeds are told in a flash back.

Ganesh's father (played by Sarath Kumar) is an upright person. He works as a clerk in a collectorate in a coastal village. A natural disaster strikes that area, and leaves many homeless in its wake. To ameliorate their problems, government allocates Rs. 20 crore to help the affected people rehabilitate.

But the local assistant collector (Vincent), the local MLA, and the local SP together siphon off the grant, even while pretending to protect the best interest of the people.

Ganesh's father comes to know about the trio's involvement behind the heist, and vows to expose them to the public.

But the 'representatives of authority' frame false charges and deceitfully turn the public outrage against the clerk. In a melee, Ganesh's family is burnt alive. Ganesh escapes to the city, and avenges the death of his family.

How Ganesh deceptively orchestrates the killing of the shenanigans is told lucidly in the remaining part of the story.

Sagar Alias Jacky (Mohanlal) is a gangster who is known for solving problems among big gangs. The Chief Minister's(Nedumudi Venu) son-in-law, Manu(Manoj K Jayan) is kidnapped and the police are unable to find a clue. Manu's wife Indu(Shobhana) realises that the police have been influenced by her brother Hari(Ganesh) who seems to know the kidnappers. Indu decides to call her best friend Sagar to help find her husband. Sagar calls his best henchmen from all over Kerala for the job. The gang then travels to Goa where Sagar's contact tells him that the kidnappers are the Rosario brothers(Sampath Raj,Sherveer Vakil) who run the most powerful gang in the Goa underworld. After considerable difficulties, Sagar and his gang locate the night club where Manu is held hostage and helps him to escape. This audacity does not sit well with the Rosarios who swear vengeance against Sagar. They kidnap one of Sagar's favourite gangsters and demand ransom. Sagar responds by kidnapping two of the three Rosario brothers and demands that his man be released at once. Realising that they would never be able to defeat Sagar in a heads-on battle, the Rosario brothers make a deal with Manu and Hari to deliver Sagar's current location. The Rosarios then try to assassinate Sagar but fail. Frustrated with repeated defeats, the Rosarios then approach Sagar's rival, Nanthakrishna Naina(Suman). Naina supplies them with a sniper, Sheikh Imran(Rahul Dev), who is also an internationally infamous assassin. Imran is asked to assassinate Manu so that the Sagar can be framed for the murder. But the Rosarios' plan backfires as Indu gives witness that Sagar was not responsible for her husband's murder. Imran is then asked to assassinate Sagar. He manages to kill Sagar's bodyguard but Sagar himself escapes. Sagar then hunts him down and kills him. The Rosarios then kidnap Sagar's love interest Arati(Bhavana), a news reporter. Sagar is asked to come to a place to work out a deal. When he reaches there, he finds Arati dead. Enraged, Sagar goes to the Rosarios' club and goes on a killing spree. Then he goes to Dubai where Naina is hiding on a yacht. With the help of some gangsters he plants explosives on the yacht and blows it up. The film ends when Sagar informs Indu that her husband has been avenged.

Super Star (also known as Stupid in Andhra Pradesh) is a 2015 (Kannada) Hindi Dubbed film written by Upendra and directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, starring Upendra and Keerthi Reddy. The story line was loosely based on the Nepalese royal massacre involving Dipendra of Nepal, the tragedy that struck the family of the Nepal king. Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar had mentioned in an interview that, although he was credited as the director, he was not given much freedom on the sets and Upendra was the one who directed most of the movie. The film had four climaxes that viewers could select on their own. It was dubbed into Telugu as Stupid, which was surprisingly a lot more successful than the Kannada version.

David Billa (Ajith Kumar), a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee along with several others, arrives at the town of Rameswaram in boat. After being interrogated by an arrogant civil servant, he is let into the refugee camp where he befriends Ranjith (Yog Japee). David makes his presence felt, when he slaps Muthu (Theepatti Ganesh) one of the rogue workers around for making a derogatory comment. The refugee camp is constantly terrorised by a corrupt police officer Raghubir Sinha (Krishna Kumar). After witnessing the brutal murder of one of the inmates at his hands, David attacks Raghubir when he tries to forcefully detain one of his friends. Raghubir then gets David tortured in prison, and vows to make him suffer. A few days later, Muthu calls David and Ranjith aside and promises them work. Billa and Ranjith are hired to transport fish from Rameshwaram to Chennai. But unknown to them, the truck they were driving had diamonds inside, and Raghubir had alerted his men on the highway to catch them red-handed. As per the plot they get caught in the check post, and after realising what had happened, Billa kills all the cops and drive the truck to its destination. Here they meet Selvaraj (Ilavarasu) who is pleased by Billa's loyalty and includes him in his businesses. Billa gets back and murders Raghubir as well as the arrogant civil servant he had initially met at the camp. He then goes to meet his elder sister (Janaki Sabesh) and his niece Jasmine (Parvathy Omanakuttan) in a church. When they see his gun, they realise that he is involved in crime. Not knowing what to say, Billa simply walks away.

Kotiswara Rao(Manoj K.Jeyan) visits Selvaraj and asks him if he could help in selling off the cocaine he had brought along with him. Billa volunteers to sell it off on a five percent commission in exchange. Billa sets off and delivers the cocaine to a local thug who however refuses to pay for it in return. In a brutal scuffle that ensues, where one of Billa's friends is slaughtered, Billa takes out the thug and his men and returns with both the money and the cocaine. Soon Billa meets Koti's boss Abbasi (Sudhanshu Pandey) who is very impressed by the former and recruits him. After a party held at his club he receives a phone call from the Russian mafia led by Dimitri (Vidyut Jamwal) telling him that his arms consignment has been held by the Indian coastal guards and he asks for his help. Billa II: The Beginning is a 2012 Indian Hindi gangster-thriller film, It is a prequel to the 2007 film Billa and is directed by Chakri Toleti and focuses on how David, an ordinary man from the coastal regions of South Tamil Nadu, becomes Billa, a dreaded underworld don, with Ajith Kumar reprising the role of the titular character.[4] Supporting roles are played by Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey, all of whom make their debut in Tamil cinema. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while R. D. Rajasekhar handled the cinematography and Suresh Urs worked as the editor.billa 2 released in 100 screens.

The film, produced by Wide Angle Creations in association with the Hinduja Group company IN Entertainment, was officially announced in November 2010, with Vishnuvardhan as the director. Due to conflicting dates, he was replaced by Chakri Toleti, while a new script was penned by a team involving Toleti and Eric Felberg.

Filming, which commenced in July 2011 and was completed by December 2011, took place primarily at Tamil Nadu, Goa, Hyderabad and in Georgia. Billa II was released worldwide on 13 July 2012 and a dubbed Telugu version titled David Billa was also simultaneously released in Andhra Pradesh. The film took huge openings all over, but due to mixed reviews and heavy violence, the film ended up as a below average Box Office.

Dhanalakshmi a.k.a. Dhana (Sneha Ullal) is the only daughter of a landlord who has over ₹50 crore property. As she lost her mother in her childhood, her father marries another woman (Kavitha). However, Dhana faces neglect from her stepmother. After Dhana's father passes away, there is no one to console her and the only friend who showed affection was Balaji. He too leaves her after she completes her schooling. After Dhana grew up, she bequeaths her father's property and her mother eyes it and wanted to marry Dhana against her wishes. So Dhana escapes from house and takes shelter in her friend's house in Hyderabad. Aravind (Yasho Sagar), son of a garage owner, is a vagabond. He comes across Dhanalaxmi and loses his heart to her. However, after a few encounters, Dhana gets caught by her stepmother and when she is about take her away, Aravind helps her from the abduction with the help of police. This makes Dhana to befriend with Aravind and she reveals her childhood friendship and tells Aravind that she is in love with Balaji and can't imagine any other in his place. After refusal, Aravind decides to go to Kolkata in search of a job and at the same time, Dhana also comes to know that Balaji is in Kolkata. They both again meet in train and accidentally Dhana misses the train during the journey. So Aravind helps her reach Kolkata to meet Balaji. In the process, Aravind gets severely hurt in the hands of a criminal, who tries to implicate Dhana in a narcotics case. Later, Aravind takes Dhana to Balaji's house in Kolkata. Dhana's stepmother also reaches Kolkata and agrees for Dhana's marriage with Balaji. When the marriage is about to take place, Dhana realises that her stepmother enacted a drama and created a fake Balaji to impress Dhana. Again Aravind comes to her rescue and at that time Dhana realises that she is in love with Aravind and the film ends on a happy note.

Ramachari (Yash), a hot-headed college-goer, is a fan of Vishnuvardhan from his childhood often watching his films.
