Ganesh (Sarath Kumar) is an auto driver and a kindhearted man, who goes out of his way to earn money to help the poor and the needy.

Ganesh likes to be in limelight. Knowing well that the media would sensationalize anything that is to do with popular people in the city, he kidnaps a businessman, and in another instance he implicates and submits himself to the police for a murder of an MLA that he does not commit. While he draws maximum publicity in the media, he creates a miserable life for the police. By his repeated pranks, Ganesh establishes himself as a person crazy only for publicity.People begin to call him 'Publicity' Ganesh.

Devanayaki (Namitha) owns a restaurant, and several autos run in her name in the local area. She is head over heels in love with Ganesh. She goes about wooing him. In most of her screen time she is singing and dancing with Ganesh.

Meanwhile, Anjali (Laya) approaches Ganesh to act in her ad films in return for handsome money. But actually she is an undercover agent to investigate Ganesh's past.

Ganesh has a sorrow past. His past life and the reason for his current deeds are told in a flash back.

Ganesh's father (played by Sarath Kumar) is an upright person. He works as a clerk in a collectorate in a coastal village. A natural disaster strikes that area, and leaves many homeless in its wake. To ameliorate their problems, government allocates Rs. 20 crore to help the affected people rehabilitate.

But the local assistant collector (Vincent), the local MLA, and the local SP together siphon off the grant, even while pretending to protect the best interest of the people.

Ganesh's father comes to know about the trio's involvement behind the heist, and vows to expose them to the public.

But the 'representatives of authority' frame false charges and deceitfully turn the public outrage against the clerk. In a melee, Ganesh's family is burnt alive. Ganesh escapes to the city, and avenges the death of his family.

How Ganesh deceptively orchestrates the killing of the shenanigans is told lucidly in the remaining part of the story.

Hindi Movies 2014 Full Movie - City of God starts with a road accident and the story traces the life of the four families who are associated with the accident. Each family has a different perspective on the city of Cochin.

The first story revolves around the life of Tamil migrants. One of the them, Swarnavel (Indrajith Sukumaran), has a special affection towards another migrant, Marathakam (Parvathi Menon). Marathakam was already married but she had run away from her old husband in Pollachi due to his unbearable torture. Marathakam and Swarnavel know that they love each other, but they don't show it. Because of some personal benefits, Lakshmi (Rohini) breaks their relationship and forces Marathakam to marry another migrant. But on the night of the marriage, Marathakam learns that her new husband is a thief and returns to Swarnavel. They realize that the love is mutual and start living together. The second husband, stricken with envy, takes revenge by bringing the first husband (a rowdy) from Pollachi. The following day, Swarnavel rescues Marathakam from her old husband and tries to escape on a moped; they have an accident.

The next story deals with the life of businessmen Sony (Rajeev Pillai) and his forehand Jyothi Lal (Prithviraj Sukumaran). As per the instructions of Sony, Jyothi Lal and his gang kill a plot owner, who is the husband of Liji Punnose (Swetha Menon). Liji Punnosse identifies her husband's murderer as Jyothi Lal and associates with another businessman, Shamir, plot revenge and destroy Sony and Jyothi Lal. Liji promises to marry Shamir if he can kill Jyothi Lal and Sony by arranging it with another gang.

Sony has an eye on the growing actress Surya Prabha (Rima Kallingal). Surya is leading an unpleasant married life with Mehaboob, who is a friend and later business partner of Sony. Sony, with the intention of collecting Surya Prabha, cheats Mehaboob in the construction business; the police remand Mehaboob for the inadequate and unsafe construction practices which had caused the death of the Tamil migrant Lakshmi. Sony forces Surya to have an illicit relation to get the papers that prove her husband's innocence. Jyothi Lal rescues Surya from this predicament. Later in the story, he rescues her from a suicide attempt. Jyothi Lal takes Surya to Sony's guest house to collect the papers and they pick up Sony on the way. However, their vehicle is in the same accident which Swarnavel and Marathakam had. Sony dies at the scene of the accident.

The gang arranged by Shamir and Liji Punnoose arrives at the accident and tries to kill Jyothi Lal, too. Jyothi Lal escapes with Surya and they began to realise the importance of each other in their future life. Liji marries Shamir and goes to Dubai for further business.

In the final scene, Swarnavel and Marathakam marry each other and settle in a scenic village, living happily ever after.

Raja (Venkatesh) and Ashok (Suman) have been best friends since childhood. Raja is a milkman while Ashok is the only son of a rich businessman and hotelier Gangadhar (Kota Srinivasa Rao). When Ashok falls in love with Shanti (Rekha), a poor girl, his father is against the wedding, Raja holds the wedding and earns his ire. Meanwhile, Raja falls in love with Rashmi (Nagma), whom he subsequently marries.
Gangadhar, plotting to drive a wedge between his son and Raja, hints that he would like to build a hotel on Raja's land, he gives the land to Ashok without even accepting money for it. When Gangadhar later talks about bringing down his house, he slaps Gangadhar in anger and even Ashok slaps Raja which breaksup their friendship.
Gangadhar orders to run bulldozer over Raja's house and keeps the blame on Ashok. Raja challenges that he would become a bigger and more successful hotelier than Ashok. Raja, with his hard work and honesty, becomes the biggest businessman in the city.
Ashok's younger brother Srikanth (Srikanth) and Raja's younger sister Kamala (Yuvarani) study in the same college, Srikanth traps Kamala and marries her to take revenge against Raja he harasses her a lot. Meanwhile, during an auction, Raja tricks Ashok to buy a plot for 12 crores which not worth more than 3 crores, Raja buys out entire property of Ashok including his house. But with all goodness in heart and the old friendship in mind, Raja gives back the property to Ashok.
At the same time, Ashok also comes to known the truth regarding all the tricks played by his father and by his cousin Prabhakar (Vinod). Meanwhile, Daniel (Captain Raju) common enemy of Raja & Ashok joins with Gangadhar and both of them plans to kill Raja by mixing poison in his milk factory, information is passed to Ashok by Kamala that's why she is torchered by Srikanth and Gangadhar, Raja saves her and comes to known regarding their poison plan in milk. At the same time Ashok goes to stops Daniel but he is injured, Raja saves him, both of them joins sees end of Daniel & Gangadhar, and they become friends once again.

Vetrivel is a person who lives as a temporary driver in Rishikeh, Uttranchal. Annamalai is the owner of Annamalai Transports but not the building-cum-residence of the transports and the staff. He is very innocent and funny. Vivek always arranges a marriage bride for himself but in one way or another Sundhar C. will stop the marriage. Anjali is an ardent fan of MGR and she feels her husband should also be like him. She is the very beautiful and attractive daughter of the Annamalai Transport building owner and she comes to Rishikesh to check the building's condition and to collect the yearly rent. She meets Sundhar C. and falls in love. Sundhar C. also falls in love with Anjali and reveals his past to her. Sundar C. was a highly accomplished district collector and was transferred to Tanjore. He gets himself in a cat-and-mouse chase with local goon Naachiyaar. Naachiyaar's son kidnaps Sundhar C.'s friend's sister who was engaged to another man & tries to rape her. But Sundhar C. comes in and saves the girl and destroys Naachiyaar's son's reproductive capacity. Naachiyaar's son dies in hospital. The marriage of the girl happens happily. Naachiyaar kills Sundhar C.'s friend brutally for revenge. Then the governor comes to Tanjore and CBCID informs that an attempt will be made on governor's life at a Tanjore meeting. Sundhar C. is told to protect the governor as he trained for IPS first and was an excellent shooter. But the governor is killed and Sundhar C. is framed by the DGP himself. The rest of the film shows how Sundhar C. proves himself (he does) and again stops another marriage of Vivek after returning to being a collector.
